Cool stuff I learned without going to college I
My name is Bridget. I live on Earth, which really only exists because a massive, gasseous planet nearby, called Jupiter, sucks up like a vaccuum anything (i.e. asteroids) which might otherwise obliterate it. Earth and Jupiter are part of the Sol System, which is situated in a relatively calm area on the Saggitarius arm of the otherwise violent Milky Way spiral galaxy. The calmness of our location and the protection of Jupiter have allowed life to thrive long enough on the planet in order for intelligent life to develop.
You are special because there is only one place in the entire universe where humans, let alone any kind of multicelled organisms, exist. That we know of. Any that we might discover are surely too far away to save us from ourselves, should WWIII break out.
Einstein said, "I don't know what World War III will be fought with but World War IV will be fought with sticks and stones."
Martin Luther King, Jr. said, "We must evolve for all human conflict a method which rejects revenge, aggression and retaliation. The foundation of such a method is love."
Jupiter's moons are Io, Ganymede, Callisto, and Europa. Ganymede is the biggest moon in the Solar system, and Europa is made of ice with liquid water underneath that scientists believe may support life. But if it's there, it's only had about 2 million years to evolve, so it's only going to be in the microbal stage at best.
There. Now you are slightly smarter than you were a minute ago.
